Jammu, Sep 12 (KNO): Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Saturday called for intensifying action against narco-terror modules in Jammu region and directed the officers to enhance intelligence-led operations to counter emerging security threats. Chairing a high-level security review meeting with officers of Jammu Police to assess the prevailing security scenario, DGP Prabhat, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, “Dismantling the entire ecosystem of narco-terror networks—including financiers, handlers and logistical support—must remain a top priority.” He directed officers to maintain a high operational tempo through area domination, night patrolling, intelligence-based interventions and close coordination among all security agencies to ensure that terror outfits and their support structures find no operational space. “Intensify action against narco-terror modules through enhanced intelligence-led operations and stronger inter-agency coordination to counter emerging security threats in the Jammu region,” the DGP added. The review also covered anti-terror measures, border-related challenges and the growing threat posed by narco-terror networks that use drug trafficking to finance terror activities. The meeting was attended by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Tajinder Singh, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range Shridhar Patil, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Jammu Joginder Singh, besides other senior district police officers—(KNO)
